Security officer shot in the stomach while confronting armed robbers

During a robbery operation in the Olorunsogo community in Oke-Lantoro area of Abeokuta, armed robbers shot and wounded an official of the So-Safe Corps, a security arm of the Ogun State government.

It was found that So-Safe Corps ‘ operating team raced to the robbery scene to rescue the community from the robbers.
The policeman, Kehinde Aigbe, was fired by the armed robbers and escaped the scene. Aigbe, 48, was hurried to an operation at the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

Corps Information and Public Relations Director Moruf Yusuf, who confirmed the incident, explained that the officer was shot in the stomach, leading to severe injuries.

Similarly, the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Chief Medical Director, Abeokuta, Adewale Musa-Olomu, also verified the victim’s entry, expressing optimism that the leadership was ready to do their utmost to save the victim’s life.

The Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo, provided the hospital with all the necessary materials to ensure the officer was revived.
