Nigerian music producer and CEO of Malvin Records, Michael Ajereh widely known as Don Jazzy, and Tiwatope popularly known as Tiwa Savage, were invited by the DSS two weeks ago, for questioning over alleged political utterances against the administration of President Muhamamdu Buhari on social media.
Why Were They Invited & Warned By DSS?
You know in recent events, following the sharp rise in sexual assault cases across country especially against women, Tiwa Savage began a movement known as “WeAreTired” in protest of the situation.
Through the movement, Tiwa Savage politely called on Buhari’s government to take action to stem the tide of rape in the country. And few other posts on social media calling on the government to live up to its responsibilities to Nigerians.
That is all and nothing more.
The next thing she got was an invitation by the DSS. Together with Don Jazzy, to the DSS office in Lagos and were warned to be careful with their posts on the social media in order not to incur the wrath of the President Buhari.

Now this is too bad for a country that practice Democracy. So no freedom of speech in Nigeria anymore?
God what have we gotten ourselves into.
So anyone that try to speak up against the failures and incompetency of the present government, will be either arrested or invited by the DSS?
Goodluck Jonathan never treated us this way. Now I remember his words and it says,
Now we know what he meant.“I am the most abused and insulted President in the world but when I leave office, you will all remember me for the total ‘freedom’ you enjoyed under me.”

If CNN were to be Nigerian news cable, they would have been closed down by now for fighting the sitting President Donald Trump. But they’re still in operation despite all that. No charges, no probing, no threat nor assault on the staffs. That’s a sane society, not the Zoo Republic we have here.
How could you invite and warned someone over social media posts. For calling on Buhari’s government to take action to stem the tide of rape in the country?
Though according a member of Tiwa Savage’s management team, who confirmed the developments, said that Tiwa will not stop speaking for Nigerians regardless of any move by governnent. But she has stop using the hashtag #WeAreTired and Don Jazzy haven’t posted about Nigerian government again after the meeting and warning from DSS.
Oh no this is crazy. Apparently the worst government Nigeria ever had in history.
